Time to get your hankies out. The handkerchief neck scarf has deservedly been going strong as the It accessory for the past few seasons. Elegant, edgy, and classic all (literally and figuratively) rolled into one, this accessory packs quite the punch. Like most, if not all trends, the key to successful execution is styling the trend to blend with your own style. I’m definitely half introvert half extrovert in my approach to styling in that part of me wants to stand out, and the other wants to blend in as much as possible. Wearing it Now: Black, White, and Cabernet
The Mister and I just got back from a trip to California last week. He travels quite a bit for work and I tag along for the good destinations when I can. We spent two days in San Francisco then drove across the Golden Gate Bridge and up Highway 101 to Calistoga in Napa Valley. Wearing it Now: Heirloom Knits
I am quite partial to red, and you can’t go wrong with the knit, denim, and boots combination for fall. A massive rainstorm is on the forecast, and today I will be out and about with the boys running errands and getting some time in at the park before the downpour. Essential to dressing on the double is stocking your wardrobe with a few pieces that really put an exclamation point on the outfit, and in this case a rather red exclamation point. These loafers were a recent purchase and I am utterly smitten. I have always loved loafers but never wore them much because the ones I had weren’t comfortable.
